 Volunteering is a rewarding service and our animals would appreciate your time and love. Dog walking, Cat cuddling, lawn care; with so many opportunities, contact us for details! Complete your Volunteer Application before you arrive and spend more time with the animals!

Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA is a Humane Society dedicated to ensuring the protection of animals through education and service. Proudly serving Tioga County, NY and the Greater Valley, PA for over 40 years. Stray Haven is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of our community to support our programs and continuing operation.  Through your support, we can continue providing the animals in our care and community the respect and care they deserve.

Report suspected cruelty or animal neglect in Tioga County, NY to the Humane Officer at Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA. Call us at (607) 565-2859. Complaints will be kept confidential and investigated.  If an animal is in immediate danger, call your local police department.

Preventing animal cruelty begins with Humane Education. We are here to help with guidance on proper nutrition, health care and housing of your domestic pets and livestock. Questions? Please call us!

Keep Your PET SAFE - CoLLArs, Tags & Microchipping

Keeping a collar on your dog or cat with your telephone number can help get them home in case they get lost. Microchipping your pet lets shelters and animal control officers check a animal who has lost its collar to identify its owners.

Summer 2015  Dog Obedience class at Stray Haven! Class size is limited for each of the 8-week sessions and Pre-registration is required. Next Class is scheduled to start in Spring 2015. For more details, click here or visit the About Us page.
Owego Holiday Showcase, Sat. November 14th: Stop by and learn about all the ways you can get involved with Stray Haven!   We will be collecting pet food and other items from our wish list, displaying our Fall Quilt for Raffle, selling Stray Haven t-shirts and announcing our Winter Fundraising campaign of Make a Difference Rewards Cards!  We may even have a shelter animal make an appearance. Visit us in the lobby of CPSI Biotech on the corner of Court & Front Streets from 10am - 3pm! 
Holiday Open House Saturday, December 5th 11am - 2pm  at Stray Haven Visit the shelter animals and bring a donation to help support Stray Haven. Stop by to enjoy the festivities with holiday music, light refreshments, adoption promotions and a special event at 1pm!
