Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA is a Humane Society dedicated to ensuring the protection of animals through education and service. Proudly serving Tioga County, NY and the Greater Valley, PA for over 40 years. Stray Haven is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of our community to support our programs and continuing operation.  Through your support, we can continue providing the animals in our care and community the respect and care they deserve.

Low-Cost Vet Clinic

Make an appointment with Dr. Hunter for our Friday Wellness Clinic to keep your pet up-to-date with vaccinations and a health check! Microchipping your pet can help return them home in case they get lost. Vaccines, microchipping and non-emergent vet care available at our clinic. Spay and Neuter services available by appointment.

Volunteering

 Volunteering is a rewarding service and our animals would appreciate your time and love. Dog walking, Cat cuddling, lawn care; with so many opportunities, contact us for details! Complete your Volunteer Application before you arrive and spend more time with the animals!

Our adoptable dogs and cats are listed at Petfinder.com and on the ADOPT page. Stop by the shelter to meet one of our many wonderful animals ready for their fur-ever home!

Humane Education

Preventing animal cruelty begins with Humane Education. We are here to help with guidance on proper nutrition, health care and housing of your domestic pets and livestock. Questions? Please call us!

REPORT ANIMAL CRUELTY

Report suspected cruelty or animal neglect in Tioga County, NY to the Humane Officer at Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA. Call us at (607) 565-2859. Complaints will be kept confidential and investigated.  If an animal is in immediate danger, call your local police department.

Get Involved and Join us at one of the many events in our community!

May 31st 10am - 1pm Purina Days at Tractor Supply Company in Sayre! Meet some of our adoptable dogs and learn more about the services we offer.
May 31st 10am - 3pm Community Street Faire at Howard Elmer Park in Sayre. With so many family friendly activities, you won't want to miss this event! For more information click here
May 30 - May 31 (Friday & Saturday 10am - 2pm - NEW DATES!) Rummage 4 Rufus Tag Sale at Stray Haven Donations accepted until close of business on Thursday, May 29th. Find a bargain and help support Stray Haven!  
June is Adopt a Shelter Cat month! All month long, adoption fees for adult cats (6 months and older) are waived! That means you can take home your new best friend for only $40!
July 26th Summer Open House at Stray Haven
July 7th  Summer Dog Obedience class begins! Class size is limited for each of the 8-week sessions and Pre-registration is required. Next Class is scheduled to run from July 7 - August 25. For more details, click here or visit the About Us page.
